Week of August 8 2016: Highlights: Duo Melis, comprised of Susanna Prieto (Spain) & Alexis Muzurakis (Greece), made their debut in 1999 and have since become one of the world's most celebrated classical guitar duos. On tonight's program - Duo Melis' self titled album 'Duo Melis' (2013), with works by Falla, Castelnuovo-Tedesco, Kapustin, Granados and Ginastera.
Week of August 1 2016: Highlights: Listen for Debussy's haunting impressionist works arranged for guitar, including 'Girl With the Flaxen Hair' and 'Clair de lune.' William Kanengiser arranged Bizet's opera 'Carmen' for four guitars, performed by the Los Angeles Guitar Quartet.
Week of July 25 2016: Highlights: This program features Fabio Zanon's new album from GuitarCoop - “Fabio Zanon - The Romantic Guitar.” Works by Schumann, Liszt, Mendelssohn, Coste, Mertz, and more.

Week of July 11 2016: Highlights: This week we will feature the contributions to the guitar world from guitarist and arranger Gregg Nestor. All selections performed by Nestor and his duo partner Raymond Burley. Mr. Nestor has arranged works by early 20th century composers, such as Francis Poulenc, Joaquín Turina, and contemporary composers as well, such as Michael Deak and Miklós Rózsa. Also listen for insight from Bill Ash about the 2016 Guitar Foundation of America convention and competition, and also the upcoming St. Louis Classical Guitar Society Great Artist Series.
Week of July 4 2016: Highlights: In honor of Independence Day, enjoy some American tunes from favorites such as Scott Joplin and George Gershwin. Also - Listen for the recordings from 'Slightly Above Below Average,' a compilation album honoring the great American guitar player Chet Atkins, put together by St. Louis guitarist John McClellan.
Week of June 27 2016: Highlights: Niccolo Paganini (1782 - 1840) was an internationally famous virtuosic violinist of his time, infatuated by the guitar. In fact, he wrote more pieces for guitar than for violin! On tonight's program - Paganini's solo works for guitar and his Sonata Concertata in A major, Opus 61 for guitar and violin.
Week of June 20 2016: Highlights: Music written for legendary classical guitarist Julian Bream by composers Leo Brouwer, Emilio Pujol, Toru Takemitsu and more! We will play the recordings of Sharon Isbin, Johannes Möller, Christopher Mallett, Kaori Muraji, and also Julian Bream himself.
Week of June 13 2016: Highlights: We will share the classic recordings of Julian Bream on this 'Inside Classical Guitar' radio program! Hear Bream performing Romantic era pieces by Spanish composers Enrique Granados and Isaac Albéniz.
Week of June 6 2016: Highlights: Lute tunes of the Renaissance! All recordings on this program come from the album 'Merry Melancholy,' from German lutenist Joachim Held. Held performs selections of English lute music of the 16th century, such as 'Frog Galliard' by John Dowland, 'Packington's Pound' by Francis Cutting, 'Delight Pavan' by John Johnson and more!
