  • Week of August 7, 2017: The first of two shows on the legendary Andres Segovia: "Part One, - Bach!" Features music from 'Cello Suite #1; Lute Suite in Em, BWV 996; Suite #3 in A major, BWV 1009; and concludes with the monumental Chaconne from Partita for Solo Violin No. 2 in D minor, BWV 1004.

  • Week of July 31, 2017:

  • Week of July 10, 2017:

    We go back in time with our show entitled “Douglas Back Plays Foden & Holland.” Native St. Louisan Doug Back is the acknowledged specialist in the unique American repertoire of music by Justin Holland (1819-1887) and William Foden (1860-1947). Special bonus: a conversation with early music specialist Anson Brown, who taught for us in Guitar Horizons during 1916-17. Here is the promised video of Anson filmed by HEC TV 's “Music for the Mind” on Jennings Junior High Guitar Club. And on this episode of Inside Classical Guitar hear about his experience with us this year--and even the origins of the ukulele!
